The conductor David Daubenfeld from Luxembourg will present his debute at this concert in China. The diverse repertoire showcases his extensive musical repertoire. Rimsky-Korsakov's Capriccio Espagnol, evokes the vibrant spirit of Iberian folk traditions through dazzling orchestral colour and masterful instrumentation, exemplifying the Russian master's unrivalled command of orchestral technique. The renowed Spanish Guitar Virtusso Rafael Aguirre will bring the premiere of Leo Brouwer's "Concerto de Toronto" merges a modern compositional language with the rhythmic vitality and expressive textures of the Latin American tradition, weaving a dynamic and eloquent dialogue between guitar and orchestra. Concluding the evening, Sibelius' Symphony No. 2 in D Major, embodies the poetic breadth and nobility of the Nordic landscape, shaping a profound expression of national identity within a sweeping symphonic architecture. Together, these works illuminate the vast richness of symphonic expression brought forth through the intersection of diverse musical cultures.
